DAY TRAINING & HABILITATION
We provide a safe environment during the day for people with developmental disabilities or related conditions. We offer a wide range of services, including:

Our trained staff work with clients and other team members to come up with a program that best meets the needs and goals of each individual.
COMMUNITY SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT
The HCDAC promotes independence and community integration by providing employment skill training in our workshop and in community based work groups. We contract services with area businesses that include:

DAC clients also contribute to the community by volunteering at the Park Rapids Public Library. We provide one-on-one training through on-site job coaching , technical support, transportation and counseling for all of our clients.
CENTER BASED EMPLOYMENT
Center based employment is an alternative to community employment. We contract work through area businesses that our clients can do during the day at the DAC.

The DAC owns and operates the Bearly Used Thrift Store and The Salvage Depot, both located in Park Rapids. Several of our clients help with the sorting and stocking of merchandise.

The DAC has held the recycling contracts for the community since 1987. We have many clients working there throughout the year.
