Every student is different, and there isn't a "one-size-fits-all" solution. Pre-ETS providers work with each student to find what type of career path best suits them. Students can expect an individualized approach from providers to help build job awareness and confidence.
Vocational Rehabilitation Services/ Community Employment Services
Partnered with Minnesota VRS DEED, our Vocational Rehabilitation Services program can help you prepare for, find, and keep a job, and live as independently as possible.
Our Community Employment Specialists work closely with individuals to find the employment that suits them best!
Employment Preparation: Support individual to identify strengths, skills, and interests.
Job Placement: Support through the hiring process, job leads, job applications, resumes, and interview prep.
Job Try Out: Get paid to try real jobs in the community to determine a good employment fit.
Competitive Employment: Successful placement in work settings that include people who do or do not have a disability.
Extended Employment: Ongoing long-term employment support for eligible individuals.
Kenny is learning how to navigate public transportation to get him to and from his job independently!
Hyatt gained valuable work experience working at Salvage Depot during the school year where he then learned how to fill out a job application, went through the interview process before being offered a position where he completed new employment orientation and continued to learn skills needed to be safe and successful!
