Our Day Training and Habilitation (DT&H) services are innovative, person-centered, and flexible. We offer a wide range of services, including:

Community Supported Employment at Hubbard County DAC

Community Supported Employment

The HCDAC promotes independence and community integration by providing employment skill training in our workshop and in community based work groups. We contract services with area businesses that include:

DAC clients also contribute to the community by volunteering at the Park Rapids Public Library. We provide one-on-one training through on-site job coaching , technical support, transportation and counseling for all of our clients.

Center Based Employment at Hubbard County DAC

Center Based Employment

Center based employment is an alternative to community employment. We contract work through area businesses that our clients can do during the day at the DAC.

Contract work includes:

  • Assembly work
  • Button making/ design
  • Collating
  • Crafts
  • Paper shredding
  • Rug weaving
  • Word working
  • Secure paper shredding
  • Special projects

The DAC owns and operates The Bearly Used Thrift Store, The Tin Ceiling and the Salvage Depot, all located in Park Rapids. Clients help with sorting, stocking, customer service, and maintaining the stores and grounds. At the Tin Ceiling we also run an EBay store that sells our merchandise as well as consigned items for community clients. At Salvage Depot, clients also assist with customer deliveries and pick up of larger furniture items.
