DAYS OF SERVICE, SUPPORTED WORK AND VACATIONS: The DAC is authorized to provide a total of 252 days of service to each client. The Center at 109 Pleasant Avenue is closed between Christmas and New Year. Clients in supported work positions in the community or at Bearly Used Thrift Store or at the Recycling Center may be expected by their employers to work during times when the Center is closed (for instance, during Christmas break or on staff training days). If clients working at these times are in need of support, supervision or transportation, the DAC will make staff available. Clients wishing to take time off for vacations or for family reasons are encouraged to take a total of two or three weeks during the year. The Program Director should be notified when a client wishes to take time off.
SNOW DAYS: If weather is bad, the DAC will close when the Park Rapids Schools close. Listen for announcements on the radio.
ABSENCES: If you are going to be absent, please call your bus driver! Call the DAC or your bus driver the evening before or early in the morning so that the driver does not have to make an unnecessary trip to your home.
